Chapter Leader Resource Center

A resource for chapter leaders, this section is found under our Chapters section of the web site. It contains such information as Conference Volunteer Opportunities, awards program information, and more. Your ideas are certainly appreciated to improve this section. Please email Meg Tully, Operations and Chapter Development Director, at meg@ieca.org with any suggestions.

Chapter Rosters

Rosters are available for you at any time upon request. Your rosters can include any specific data you desire that we can extract from our database. To obtain a roster, email program administrator, Esther Gallegos at esther@ieca.org. Include your criteria (fields desired—address, phone, fax, email, join date, chapter members only, IECA members who are not Chapter members, etc.). Please allow 3 days turnaround time to deliver your list. If you need your list immediately, we usually can accommodate these requests, but please indicate the urgency in your request. Do you need more specialized data? Just contact us and we can work together to give you the data you desire.

Dues Remittance

For any questions concerning your latest dues remittance check, please contact Pat Fete, Customer Service Manager, at pat@ieca.org. Dues are remitted monthly.

Events and Education

IECA offers many opportunities for chapters to participate in bringing events and education to members. Likewise, IECA would like to know about your events well-beforehand so we can help you publicize them and so that we can plan our activities. Our goal is to work with you, at whatever level you desire, to deliver the events and education your members want. Please work closely with Kate Nowak, Events and Sales Director, and Kim Kline, Technical Resources Director. Communication is the key here so that we can both deliver the quality events and education our members are seeking.

General Guidance and Support

For general chapter management questions, please contact Chapter Director Meg Tully. She can assist with any questions you may have about director nominations, reorganization of your Chapter regions, conflict resolution, membership recruitment and retention ideas, ideas for new services or how to improve already-existing services … in short, any management question or issue that may arise, Meg will be more than happy to assist you in finding a solution

Liability Insurance and Tax Compliance Questions

We encourage Chapters to obtain their own liability insurance coverage for their events. IECA’s Financial Director, Vicky Barney, will assist with any questions you might have regarding liability insurance.

Please contact IECA’s Finance Director for any questions you might have about taxes, forms, filing, etc. It is recommended that each Chapter have their own accountant who can assist the Chapter with tax issues as well.

Chapter Advisory Committee

This committee has a representative from each chartered Chapter that will assist in creating quality programs for IECA and the Chapters. The representative also will help to improve communication beween IECA and Chapters. For more information, please contact Meg Tully at meg@ieca.org

Publications

Let the erosion control community know about the good works and exciting events your Chapter sponsors! Submit your news using our convenient online form. IECA can provide you with a copy deadline for your submissions as well. We encourage Chapter input for IECA’s publications, so please use this avenue to publicize your activities!

Are members of your Chapter interested in publishing their work and gaining recognition? We are seeking manuscripts for our quarterly member publication, News To Use. Instructions to authors are available online.

Partners for Excellence Chapter Awards

The Partners for Excellence Chapter Awards Program recognizes Chapters for outstanding performance throughout the year. Details are delivered to Chapter officers every year and are posted on IECA’s web site. For any questions or suggestions regarding this program, please contact Meg Tully at meg@ieca.org
