![]() December 16, 2005 SEASON’S GREETINGS FROM THE MAC/IECA! You are receiving this e-mail because the MAC/IECA is interested in you. Our records indicate that while you have had some contact with MAC/IECA, you are currently not a member. As membership chair of MAC/IECA, I want to invite you to join IECA and MAC/IECA. (Membership to IECA now automatically includes membership to MAC/IECA if your address is within our region.) The MAC/IECA had a fantastic 2005. We cosponsored several educational events throughout the region. All of the events were successful; they provided opportunities for the transfer of erosion control and related technologies. In addition to its regional efforts, the chapter was able to be a positive influence on many scales. Internationally, the chapter contributed money for tsunami relief and India IECA chapter development. Nationally, the chapter donated to the American Red Cross for victims of Hurricane Katrina. On an individual basis, we administered three scholarships to undergraduate college students considering career choices in fields related to the erosion and sediment control industry. These contributions occurred because the MAC/IECA is active, dedicated and financially strong. Won’t you consider being a part of IECA and MAC/IECA? Membership gives you immediate access to the world’s largest array of technology, people, education and events related to erosion and sediment control. It will enhance your credibility within the erosion & sediment control profession. Membership will provide opportunities for you to make a positive difference in improving the environment. Please visit the IECA website at www.ieca.org for membership information. Remember that your membership qualifies you to participate in IECA and MAC/IECA events at a reduced fee. Visit the MAC/IECA website, www.macieca.org for regional happenings as well as contact information for a long list of state representatives. Please get in touch with any of them (or me at 704-398-0954 or davesnyderwebtec@aol.com) if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to corresponding with you in 2006.
