Common Pitfalls Using MS4 Permit Language in Your Post-Construction Ordinance

Mary Halley

Education Track: MS4 Management

Post-construction ordinances that are created using language lifted directly from an NPDES-MS4 permit are often very difficult to implement. Use of such language inadvertently creates loopholes, stringency problems, and administrative difficulties that are not addressed in a permit. In this presentation, attendees will learn how to create post-construction requirements that comply with permit requirements but don't create headaches for the City staff that have to administer them.
