Walking Olympic Village Tour

Led by the Green Infrastructure Team at the City of Vancouver

The Olympic Village was designed to be a green and sustainable neighbourhood in many ways. In keeping with Vancouver’s Greenest City targets, this neighbourhood uses innovative rainwater management tools and energy efficiency systems, such as heat recovery from sewage, green roofs, permeable pavement, swales and much more. This guided walking tour explores the neighbourhood to share examples of how the Olympic Village manages rainwater in a green and sustainable way, using green infrastructure and natural landscaping.
