Trees Place Corporate Park in Memphis. Use of the indoor and outdoor

of 90 lb (41 kg) rock to explain how riprap is used for channel protection,
general design guidelines and maintenance procedures. |

guidelines as well as important maintenance requirements for construction
site exits. |

Tom Lawrence, Environmental Engineer for the City of Memphis, reviewed the purpose; design basics and maintenance needs for check dams. Today's product innovation has created a whole new selection of cost-effective check dam structures. |

Marc Theisen provided a very complete review of the uses, installation do’s and don’ts, and performance variables for erosion control blankets. Nine different types of erosion control blankets were installed and gave participants a chance to compare them side by side. |

Steve Zwilling had no trouble filling his 30 minute presentation period discussing the basics of seeding and mulching, plus describing today’s selection of hydraulic mulches. |
