IECA Education
Erosion, Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Training
IECA professional development training is designed for erosion, sediment control and stormwater management professionals focusing on constructions site management for large and small developments, streambank restoration, wetland remediation, vegetation establishment and steep slope stabilization.
IECA categorizes its educational programming into Technology Sections to help you select the training that best suits your needs.
How does IECA select educational material?
All educational material, including full–day training courses, technical papers and webinar sessions, is peer–reviewed by IECA's Professional Development Committee (PDC) to ensure the the subject matter is fresh, accurate and unbiased.
The PDC helps determine which Technology Section is appropriate for selected material. Technology Sections are IECS's way of organizing content so it's easy to choose education relevant to your field.

Format Options
Not everyone has the same needs when it comes to professional development training. There are big budgets, small budgets, time constraints and various learning styles. IECA recognizes this and has tried to accommodate your needs with a variety of training formats.
Webinars
IECA webinars are 60 to 90 minute, topic focused, online training sessions that you can take anywhere you have access to an Internet connection and a phone.
IECA Live
IECA Live mobilizes the best of IECA educators in your area, drawing upon a highly qualified instructor pool from IECA’s membership and Chapters. A faculty of specialists will be available on request to provide tailored training to meet your education needs.
Conference Events
Each February IECA holds Environmental Connection, our international conference and expo. Attended by over 2,000 erosion, sediment control and stormwater management professionals, this conference is the world's premier erosion and sediment control event.
The combination of inspiring case studies, how-to workshops, thought-provoking forums and a comprehensive expo make this the the showcase of IECA education.
Chapter Events
IECA's regional Chapters also hold conferences and workshops throughout the year. These events are a great place to get education that will help you comply with local and state regulations. They also are a gold mine a great networking opportunities.
