EC04 Las Vegas Highlights
Originally conceived as a way to get more contractors to attend IECA Chapter events, the HydRodeo has evolved into the premier contractor event at the annual Conference that tests the skills, the resourcefulness and yes,... the passion of today's great protectors of the soil resource... THE HYDROSEEDING CONTRACTOR! Each year, this popular event is organized thru the efforts of Mike Harding, Mike Mellon and many others.

Wattle Doggin This event is brought to you by Earth Saver from
Winters California, also one of our conference sponsors. Wranglin' a wild
wattle in the field can be a nasty business and this event tests the skills
of the HydWrangler to subdue and bring to bay those slippery, hornery
denizens of sediment control.
Competitors will
try to dog not one, not two... but three slope interruption devices! The wattles
must be folded over and hog-tied securely before being wrangled back across
the starting line.

The Hydro Joust is a new HydRodeo event, sponsored by Mat,
Inc. of Floodwood, MN. The HydroJoust has its origins in the Scottish
Highlands when tribal clans sent forth their champions with buckets, dousing
their opponents with freezing water until the loser's beard was frozen
solid to the ground. The tradition continues today, but with a diverse
group of hydroseeders around the world. The competitors will attempt to
drive an object across each other's territory using just the hydraulic
spray.

RECP Rollin' 'n Wrestlin' This year marks the introduction of the RECP Rollin' 'n Wrestlin Event sponsored by Greenfix America. Every HydWrangler knows that sometimes you gotta hunker down amongst the sage and cactus if you want to control soil erosion. But ya gotta install these blankets correctly if they're gonna work. This events tests the skill and mettle of the HydWrangler to unroll and staple them pesky, but highly-effective RECPs
