IECA’s Washington DC Regional Roadshow will center around urban stream construction methodology, practices and planning. This will be specific to the Mid-Atlantic region and target urban hydrology and restoration in the DC Metro area. Attendees will not only learn about objectives in the classroom environment but also experience the teachings first hand in a half day field trip component to multiple active and post-construction stream restoration projects.

      Josh Burch, Environmental Protection Specialist, Lawrence Omoregbe, Environmental Engineer CFM, Peter Nwangwu, Environmental Engineer and Stephen Reiling, Environmental Engineer, CFM from the Department of Energy and the Environment will be presenting during this session providing a project Manager and Inspector Lessons Learned from Stream Restoration Projects Watts Branch, Broad Branch

12:30 - 4:00PM - Field Trip, buses will depart promptly at 12:30PM 
    Duff McCully and Joseph Burckle, Urban Foresters with the District Department of Transportation Urban Forester Administration will be presenting on tree preservation techniques and tree planting during this field event. The full itinerary for the field trip has not been set at this time due the ever changing schedule of construction sites. We will be visiting Alger Park Stream Restoration project (active construction site), Broad Branch Stream Restoration (post construction) and a third site which is to be determined.
