Thank you for attending the seventh annual Municipal Wet Weather Stormwater Conference hosted by the the International Erosion Control Association and the IECA Southeast Chapter. This conference was packed full of education. Our opening keynote Barry Fagan, a leader in Green Infrastructure, gave us an look into how stormwater runoff is the leading pollutant of the waters in the Appalachian Mountains to the marshes and wetlands along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, as well as the richest waters of the Southeastern United States. We also heard from the EPA regarding stormwater and green infrastructure updates. Kacy Sable from the EPA spoke on the new definition of “Waters of the United States” and gave us some implementation updates The technical presentations provided the information attendees need to get the job done with a Stormwater Management, MS4 Management and Erosion/Sediment Control.
