Enforcement Knowledge Exchange - The Sequel

Presenters: Barney R. Blackburn, PE, CPESC, CPSWQ, Karyn Pageau, EI, CPESC, Sarah Haggard, CPESC, QSD/P & Jessica Meyer, CPESC, CESSWI

This is a continuation of our discussion from the 2020 conference in Raleigh and a light-hearted approach to a big problem. Enforcement isn’t easy and we aren’t talking about it. There are many places in the permitting process for balls to be dropped and champions to be born. This is an opportunity for the enforcement community to share how they are getting better compliance on the ground and avoid embarrassing failures. Learning from each other is key. EPA audits, poor design, poorly worded inspection reports, and contractor relationships are just a few topics to lead the discussion. Most importantly, this is a safe space to network with other enforcement professionals and find out how everyone is getting the job done.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn how other regulators are solving site and people problems creatively.
  • Discover the many ways local governments obtain compliance through original programs.
  • Make a professional connection with someone you can contact throughout the year for advice.
