Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani
Jean M. Terry is an attorney with the construction law firm of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani in Louisville, Kentucky. Jean began working in the construction industry over fifteen years ago, serving as an intern for a crane manufacturer in her native South Carolina. After earning her Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University, Jean worked as a civil engineer on numerous projects throughout the public and private sectors. Jean contributed to the Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control chapter of the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Drainage Manual, and implemented these measures on multiple construction sites. Jean also worked on several county bridge and state roadway projects throughout Tennessee. Jean is certified in the Fundamentals of Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Jean then took her extensive construction experience and combined it with a law degree to practice exclusively in the field of construction law. Jean’s work as a civil engineer, combined with her practice in construction law and civil litigation, have provided her with invaluable experience in the management and design aspects of large scale construction, as well as the legal issues that affect these projects. Jean represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in contract disputes, lien and bond claims, OSHA matters, and collections actions. She is licensed in Kentucky and Indiana and is a member of the ABA Forum on Construction Law and the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers.
