The lessons learned from a water quality and erosion/sediment control aspect of the after effects of a large scale burn. This presentation will focus on the importance of having a plan in place for community collaboration to help minimize the impact of debris flows as well as discuss the impacts and response to the 416 Fire from a erosion control perspective.

Danielle Wilkinson has worked for CDOT as Region 5's Water Quality Specialist for almost 2 years. Although her educational background is in Biology/Conservation, her professional career has lead her down a path of Erosion Control and Stormwater. She has worked as an Biologist/Erosion Control/Stormwater Specialist for various local environmental companies for 10 years before beginning her career with Colorado Department of Transportation. She is originally from the Northeast but has lived in the West for over 20 years.
